QA Manager
Position Description

At Andrews McMeel Universal (AMU), a QA Manager is responsible for evaluating the quality of our digital products across AMUs creator-based brands and internal systems. A QA Manager will create quality assurance metrics, write test plans, iterate on quality improvement processes, and build a pipeline of QA resources.

The ideal candidate should be team-oriented, demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and display excellent communication skills as they will be working with AMUs team of producers and engineers to deliver projects that are on time, tracking towards stated KPIs, and achieve the highest quality.


Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Evaluate product quality by producing test strategies and plans adjusting as necessary throughout the lifecyle of the project.
  • Analyze data to identify scope of browser coverage and support of desktop and mobile platforms
  • Working in coordination with producer and engineering teams, implement ongoing quality improvement processes
  • Identify project QA needs, establish and cultivate a pipeline of QA resources to deploy across projects with varying size and complexity
  • Identify and communicate testing results
  • Explore and incorporate industry trends and best practices


  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to translate issues between technical and non-technical teams
  • Possesses strong understanding of application development and system design
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively


  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies related to requirements facilitation and quality assurance required
    • Tools to conduct test planning, execution, and reporting (I.e. TestRail, Xray or Testpad)
    • Issue/defect tracking and change management tools (I.e. JIRA or Bugzilla)
  • 4+ years of experience leading and training teams
  • Experience in creating automation testing strategy/plans and providing documentation
  • Experience in media or agency settings preferred but not required
