General Qualifications
The Guest Experience Specialist - Coordination and Hosting must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in his/her faith. He/she must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek Christian Camps (CCCC) mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Key Job Accountabilities

Responsible for the process of coordinating details with group leaders year-round for programmed retreats

Knowing and understanding how Carolina Creek operates and ensuring guest experience aligns with the mission of the institution

Hearing the needs of groups and translating those needs in a way to create a positive experience, reflecting Christian hospitality

Assist with Accounting in the processing of payments for groups
-
Be an expert in the group coordination software, and helping group leaders successfully develop their schedules and experience
-
Answering questions from group leaders in a professional manner
-
Assist the Guest Experience department in creating SOPs relevant to the department

Assisting in all things related to the Guest Experience department

Strong self-initiative to serve others and customers
-
Careful attention to details with strong organizational skills

Effective communication in empowering guests and coworkers with all pertinent information

Participate in tours of camp and the programs we offer to perspective groups
-
Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programs of Carolina Creek and willing to serve in other areas of camp when necessary

Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words and actions

Ability to work with other departments in sharing guest group details
Supervisory Responsibilities

Reports to Director of Guest Experience

No direct reports, however, situational supervision of event and retreat staff is required
Education/Certifications/Licenses
-
Must have a current valid drivers license

Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
-
Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
Work Experience
-
Previous Camping experience preferred

Previous Customer Service experience preferred

Previous Customer Management Software and Systems Leadership preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to teach the Bible effectively, facilitate prayer with staff or guests, and provide reasonable counseling/coaching from a Biblical perspective

Must possess strong communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette

Must be confidential and discreet when dealing with sensitive information

Must possess strong computer skills and an understanding of Google Drive and proficiency on the Microsoft Suite of software applications

Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills

Must be able to remain calm under stress and deal with conflict in a professional and courteous manner

Must have excellent written communication skills for corresponding with guests

Work independently, being able to be a self-starter

Must be organized and detail oriented

Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions, sometimes walking for long distances in 100 degrees or more heat. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs.
