Marketing Manager [Remote, Full-time]

The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to bring people, data, and ideas together to evolve a great product into a market-leading solution. This is a right- and left-brain role. A workday could go from analyzing pipeline data to building a marketing campaign for growing graduate degree programs and course enrollment. The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing & CX. They will be responsible for planning and execution of campaigns, projects, and processes supporting lead and pipeline generation for AOEU's higher education offerings. This role will also be accountable for growing top-of-funnel audiences and providing additional marketing support to our expanding SaaS curriculum and professional development offerings.

 

Essential Functions

  • Create, execute, manage, and optimize marketing strategies to build awareness, drive interest, and increase enrollments for graduate programs and courses.

  • Guide and direct internal team and external agency(s) in the development and execution of paid search, SEO, account-based marketing (ABM), display, paid social, and webinars.

  • Enable admissions/student services through messaging, automation, and related support.

  • Maintain a culture of collaboration, breaking down silos to make the customer journey effective from top-of-funnel to retention.

  • Work closely with designers and writers to develop digital and physical collateral necessary to support marketing initiatives.

  • Provide ongoing reporting to internal stakeholders

  • Show marketing performance by program and analysis of trends with an emphasis on ideas for innovation and improvement.

  • Identify new data points and avenues for measuring marketing effectiveness.

Customer Journey:

  • Write conversion copy for multi-channel efforts, including email, landing pages, digital ads, and print materials.

  • Strategize with admissions, student services, marketing, and academic leaders to create a customer-centric lead-generation engine for adult learners.

  • Develop campaigns and supplemental materials aligned to admissions and student services goals. This includes enablement tools such as email sequences, snippets, and one-pagers for internal partners to leverage campaign messaging and resources in customer communications.

 

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the performance and funnel metrics related to all efforts to continually optimize campaigns.

  • Provide recommendations to the Magazine & Media content team for articles and podcasts that improve SEO and SEM ranking for graduate programs and courses.

  • Optimize SEO, SEM, and social advertising for graduate programs and courses.

  • Track and monitor performance metrics and marketing budget.

Enablement:

  • Develop case studies, identify customer stories, and report customer success data for team members to leverage and drive compelling conversations.

  • Review messaging snippets and sequences to ensure consistent messaging that adds value and uncovers potential impact for AOEU.

  • Own the strategy, execution, and monitoring of the marketing funnel to maintain healthy lead pipelines.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding the stresses and risks in organizational change and how to mobilize the organization behind new campaigns.

  • High aptitude for problem-solving and collaboration to effectively work with other leaders, customers, and stakeholders to evolve AOEUs messaging.

  • Demonstrated history of managing and optimizing product campaigns.

  • Passion for experimentation and presenting results.

  • Ability to build data-informed demand-generation strategies.

  • Ability to write conversion copy and craft messaging for campaigns.

  • Experience building highly targeted campaigns with sophisticated automation.

  • Ability to implement A/B and multivariate testing methodologies.

  • Experience with web analytics and conversion optimization tools and the ability to work with large data sets.

  • Experience with front-end web development (HTML, CSS) is preferred.

  • Experience teaching and understanding of accreditation and teacher licensure is preferred.

Position Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in a similar position(s) driving growth and maintaining a consistent track record in higher education or continuing education for adult learners.

  • Experience working in a remote capacity is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with key evaluation metrics that drive pipeline and campaign prioritization.

  • Experience with leading the development and use of digital platforms and technology products (HubSpot, Google Analytics, WordPress, social platforms, etc.).

VISUAL & TACTILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university. Therefore 95-98% of ones time will be on or using technology.

  • Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.

  • Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.
