IT Systems Administrator

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator, on behalf of our client, to handle day-to-day IT needs at a rapidly growing company. An excellent IT Systems Administrator must have strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and be able to communicate effectively to adapt requirements and problems into plans and solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance in person, over the phone, or via ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise day-to-day among the various applications in use at the company.
  • Provision/deprovision user accounts as necessary, and other Office365 maintenance.
  • Assist the Director of IT with application deployments, user training, and day-to-day computing questions.
  • Receive, inventory, organize, and deploy IT assets, such as workstations, printers, VoIP devices, IP cameras, and other IoT devices.
  • Perform network infrastructure (switch, server, storage, firewall) configurations and maintenance as needed.
  • Improve the company's IT posture where needed by further maturing current processes and systems.
  • Document systems and procedures and create user training manuals and videos.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by employees to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures and systems

Qualifications and Skills

  • 4+ years supporting IT systems and SaaS
  • Strong understanding of Office365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking (VLANs, NGFW, micro segmentation)
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing environments, especially Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of IT best practices
  • Strong understanding of Windows systems, configurations, and permissions
  • JAMF Pro & macOS experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Willingness to learn
