MSM Intern

The MSM Intern is responsible for assisting the Middle School and For the Family (FTF) Ministry teams with all planning, preparation, and execution of all summer ministry related events.

Essential Job Functions

1. Service
Planning, Organizing & Executing Various FTF Events & Activities like VBS, summer camps, youth services, etc.
Calling, emailing, and interacting with vendors for event planning;
Calling, emailing, and interacting with youth, volunteers, and parents;
Planning, ordering, and shopping for needed supplies for events;
Coping, scanning, typing, and filing as needed by the staff;
Assisting other ministry areas as approved by the FTF staff;

2. Leadership Training
Completing readings and studies related to the Devotional Teachings as assigned by ministry leads;

3. Personal Growth & Study
Complete assigned readings given to you by the FTF staff;
Study and prepare teaching under the direction of the Ministry Leaders;

4. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the FTF Ministry Staff.

Qualifications

• Christian character and a growing personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
• Must be at least 12 months post high school graduation.
• Able to demonstrate a cheerful, diplomatic, and caring attitude.
• Be a team player.
• Comfortable expressing creativity.
• Ability to prioritize projects and responsibilities.
• Takes initiative and is a proactive problem solver.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with office equipment and technology like computers, copiers, phones, internet search engines, email, Microsoft Word and Excel, and social media platforms. Able to become proficient quickly with additional computer programs and office machines as needed.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position:
  • Ability to be mobile/on feet for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to be outdoors with heat/humidity for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, stoop and exhibit manual dexterity.
