The AV Development Installation Technician specializes in installing stage, museum, and corporate cutting-edge technology in the audio and video industry in order to provide maximum performance and availability of the resources to end-users. There can be a lot of variety in the work that we perform. Some days we are hanging large-format speaker systems and trusses of moving lights, troubleshooting and isolating issues the next day we could be wearing hardhats pulling wire on a construction site to install a bunch of digital signage displays. We also provide support for live events. To sum it up, we do a combination of AVL, IT, and construction to facilitate the installation of new AVL hardware. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference.   • Assist AV manager with the installation of all new AVL systems.
  • Help with the development and maintenance of the AVL systems within the ministry.
  • Provide occasional support for the live events team.

  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
  • A flexible schedule is a must as the A/V Technician needs to be available before and after normal hours A/V support.
  • Must be able to work some weekends when needed.
  • Must be able to lift 65 lbs. and able to climb ladders.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to see jobs through to completion.
  • Must have a servant’s heart.


Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of Audio/Visual installation or electrical installation.
  • Troubleshooting mindset using user feedback to isolate issues and troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Read and understand A/V system schematics and construction drawings.
  • Must be detailed oriented, meticulous, and have a mindset to ensure installation can be easily troubleshooted later.
  • Installing A/V products, such as TVs, speakers, lights, etc.
  • Terminate, and test a variety of signal, data, and speaker cabling.
  • Architectural lighting, stage lighting, implementation.
  • Build and terminate head-end equipment.
  • Tune, adjust, and configure AV equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems on new and existing systems.
  • Travel to and from locations.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the specified budget and schedule.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and follow established safety practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users in stressful environments.
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed.
  • Any formal AV-related training is a benefit.
