Position Overview: The Senior Accountant is a mission-focused and energetic leader who helps to drive the continuous quality improvement and performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals that make the agency a national leader. This position reports to the Director of Finance and assists in managing people, processes, risk and change in a fast-paced environment.


Key Performance Objectives:


Business Management – Understanding of finance and systems; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems.


Action Oriented – Enjoys challenges; able to act and react as necessary, even with limited information; not afraid to take charge of a situation.


Vision and Capacity Building – Ability to think strategically, anticipate and incorporate future trends into plans, build organizational and staff capacity.


Leadership and Organization – Capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder and team player with the ability to connect to staff both as individuals and in groups; capacity to develop and empower people, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of a team so as to put people in a position to succeed.


Principal Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required; 5 years of professional-level experience in accounting and/or finance; Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required; Pre-employment drug screening and random employment drug testing required.
