Description

Reporting to the CFO, the Business and Operations Analyst (“Analyst”) will help drive the company’s enterprise value by extracting, managing, collecting, verifying, analyzing and interpreting data, and condensing findings into clear and concise analyses and reports to be used by operating managers, company leadership and investors.  The nature of this position requires the Analyst to work closely with operating managers to understand, develop and report on departmental KPIs. 

This position places a premium on all communication skills, especially listening; interpretative thinking; and an inquisitive mind. 

 

Position Specific Responsibilities 

 

  • Assist in evaluating business processes, helping anticipate business requirements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions 

  • Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of company financial models 

  • Interpret operating results and communicate opportunities to functional business leads 

  • Assist with financial planning for recurring activities and special initiatives, including budgeting and forecasting 

  • Automate recurring analyses to support internal and external financial reporting requirements 

  • Prepare analyses to support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting needs 

  • Support acquisition diligence efforts via data room management and analysis of provided information 

  • Support strategic planning and decision-making by identifying and analyzing business trends within product categories, customers, geographies, markets, and other relevant groupings 

Qualifications
  • Minimum five years’ experience in FP&A, corporate accounting, and/or public accounting 

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as accounting, finance, engineering, operations management, or economics 

  • CPA, MBA, or professional equivalent is preferred 

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills 

  • Advanced facility with data analyses 

  • Specific experience with the following: 

  • Budgeting: zero-based; variance; and “what if” analyses 

  • Projection modeling 

  • Financial statement analyses for corporate development and M&A activities 

  • Design and development of department, function, customer and product profitability analyses 

  • KPI development and trackers 

  • Trend and scenario analyses
