Description

We seek a Lead Design Architect to cultivate design excellence in our work and to energize our design culture. As conceptual design driver of our project work, they will lead and collaborate with our integrated teams. They will work closely with clients and project stakeholders to develop goals and design concepts, then guide the project team through development of the concept. Beyond projects, a Lead Design Architect will be integral to marketing the firm through supporting project pursuits and developing close relationships with clients to cultivate trust and expertise. They will be regarded as a resource in design thinking and innovation, as an expert on current design philosophies and trends, and act as a mentor to emerging talent across our teams.

As a Lead Design Architect, you will be an integral, full-time team member in our Architectural group as you:

  • Develop project direction, program understanding and design concept,
  • Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders through engagement and presentations,
  • Guide the project design process while leading and directing the work of assistant designers and technical staff,
  • Oversee design development to ensure clarity and quality of concepts are maintained throughout the design process,
  • Monitor project budgets and participate in client interactions and decision making,
  • Represent Integrus in marketing efforts and in the world at large,
  • Maintain a strong tone and culture of design in the firm.

A successful candidate is highly communicative, possesses the ability to motivate and inspire others, and is capable of being a knowledge expert for project teams.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in architecture
  • Architectural License 
  • 10 years’ experience minimum
  • Experience in developing architectural concepts through to completion
  • Experience with client and stakeholders’ groups
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and graphic skills
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills

 

Position Preferences:

  • Public Sector work experience, especially Higher Education, K-12 education, civic and federal government project types.
  • Competency with Architectural software programs such as: Revit, Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

 

Salary Range:

This position offers $106,000 - $126,000 per year with a midpoint at $116,000.  New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience and market.
