Help Us Change Lives: Auberle-Ward Home Seeks Overnight Direct Care Specialist (FT/PT) for our Swissvale and Wilkinsburg Sites

Auberle-Ward Home is a nationally recognized, award winning human service organization that serves thousands of children and families each year.  For more than 60 years, we have helped troubled children and their families heal themselves.  Auberle-Ward Home is dedicated to delivering excellent care that is rooted in trauma informed practices.

 

Auberle-Ward Home provides Supervised Independent Living (SIL) programs (Swissvale and Wilkinsburg sites) to more than 60 teen girls and boys ages 16-20. The goal is to teach “practical life skills” to help the teens grow towards adulthood, empowered to live independently as effective, successful, contributing members of the community.

We offer programs to at-risk children, teens, youth and families. We are seeking creative, caring individuals to fill immediate openings for an Overnight Direct Care Specialist.

 

Overnight Direct Care Specialist’s provide supervision, ensure the well-being and safety of the teens in the program, and to promote routine functions of the site. The ideal candidate will be a trauma-informed individual that is compassionate and dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk teens.  Overnight Direct Care Specialist develop appropriate relationships with teens, provide a positive role model and supervise teens in all routines to ensure safety and well-being.

 

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in social services-relation field. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are mandatory. Must be 21 years of age or older and required to apply for Act 33/34 clearances (criminal and child abuse) as well as FBI clearance.  Pre-employment drug screening and random employment drug testing required.
