We sell a variety of product categories as a 1st Party Seller, including toys & games, pets, baby, outdoor sporting goods, housewares, and more. Flat River Group has experienced incredible growth over the last 11 years, and we now have five US-based distribution facilities.

 

We’re currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Business Systems Analyst places a heavy emphasis on the writing of application software to support multiple systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and internal and external web pages that operate on multiple platforms.  

 

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of various Microsoft based software platforms, and have a passion for working with programming languages. This position is a great opportunity for those looking to expand their experience in building databases, analyzing data, and working with ERP software in the growing field of e-commerce!

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze user requests and business processes. Work closely with business process owners to develop scope of project prior to any development.

  • Write complex programs and reports using various standard programming tool sets such as WinStudio, asp, html, perl, java, Ruby on Rails, or ajax.

  • Develop and execute a project plan, checking in with leaders on progress.

  • Perform SQL database administration tasks from a developer’s standpoint when needed.

  • Assist with ERP system upgrades and add-on installations.

  • Assist with any other IT tasks, when necessary, due to vacations, emergencies, special projects, or other unusual circumstances.

  • Occasional travel to other company sites may be required.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Highly proficient in writing MS SQL queries and stored procedures.

  • Highly proficient with report writing with an assortment of applications such as Tableau, SSRS, PowerBI, Powerapps, C#, Java Scripting, PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails.

  • Familiarity with API integration.

  • Must be able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

 

Physical Requirements:

  •  Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, stoop, and reach.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Mathematics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or equivalent Required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent preferred.

  • Two years working in an IT environment required.

  • Three years of experience working in a distribution, production, or manufacturing IT environment is a plus.

  • Experience with WMS or ERP systems is a plus.
