Job Description

The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. in New York, NY has an immediate need for a full-time Legal Billing/Accounting Coordinator.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Print and distribute pre-bills to attorneys
  •  Transfer time/expenses between files
  • Write up/down time and costs on bills
  • Process special billing requirements for clients
  • Complete invoices for distribution to clients
  •  Process write-off requests - work in process
  • Process, prepare and print A/R statements as needed
  • Respond to billing questions 
  •  Process NY client/matter intake forms
  • Process NY accounts payable vendor invoices
  • Process NY check requests
  •  Maintaining NY trust accounts
  • Provide assistance to NJ Accounting department as needed
  • Understand functionality of all office equipment and systems

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • A valid driver’s license is required

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • Relevant accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Excel software
