Reports to:  Midway Manager 

Pay Range: $15.74 - $18.82/hr

Supervises: N/A

Status: Seasonal, Six Month (Nov-April), Full-Time/Part Time

MIDWAY STAFF JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall preparation and presentation of food from Midway. To coordinate and oversee kitchen activities, i.e. cleaning, baking, cooking and preparing food for our guests to purchase. Responsible for the sale of products at midway.  Provide lunch and dinner to Mission Ridge guests.  Complete guest satisfaction is the ultimate goal.  Keep the Restaurant Floor, Food Court and Deck clean and stocked with condiments and products.  This person should be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment under some pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude at all times. Guest service oriented. The atmosphere is team directed and a supportive environment.  
 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

  • To foster a team player atmosphere by providing the room to learn and grow as an 

  • Assist with food and dry goods receiving, handling, storage, and  usage.

  • Assist with weekly inventory of kitchen and floor products.

  • Perform as a line cook - set up and stock stations, prepare food for service, clean, stock and comply with all nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

  • Working with a convection oven, steam tables, and gas BBQ.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, safety, cleanliness, menu ingredients, plate presentation, food preparation, food service and guest service.  Guest service oriented. Ability to read a menu and produce its contents to required standards. Ability to take direction and contribute to a team atmosphere. Self motivated and be able to maintain a positive attitude.  A Washington State Health District Food Server Permit is required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Midway is an indoor/outdoor environment located at the top of Chair Lift #1 and the base of Chair Lift #2.  Chair Lift #1 is taken to get to Midway.  Walking down the hill, or riding the chair back down to the base area.  Working around snow cats may occur in certain circumstances.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Seeing:  Must be able to read

Hearing:  Must be able to hear well. Guest service communication and employee communication are essential.           

Standing/Walking: Consistent and constant standing and walking while in operation, as well as being flexible in movement to different areas of the lodge.         

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling                          

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Transporting food and beverage to and from Midway requires lifting of items up to 100 lb. in and on a snowcat trailer. The trailer needs to be loaded and unloaded twice a day. Snow removal of the roof and deck.
      

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.
