ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

Maintaining daily communication with the Mountain Operations team, including patrol, snow makers, groomers and lift maintenance in order to compile, update and disseminate mountain conditions information.

Responsible for creating and updating daily conditions reports, including weather, snow and trail conditions, open/close terrain, lift status, resort activities and events.

Daily writing of the Snow/Grooming Report and publishing to resort website and app.

Responsible for daily updating of the Snow Phone message.

Participate in departmental planning efforts to gather information and share communications strategies.

Assist in content creation for social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others as determined to reinforce brand, raise awareness and maximize exposure by developing timely, consistent, quality content.

Supports live coverage of on-mountain events (photo, video)

Skiing/snowboarding daily to accurately report on conditions and capture content.

Work closely as a team with the Co-Snow Reporter(s) to convey messaging with one cohesive voice.

Assist the Marketing Manager in the creation of other written and visual content for website and marketing materials.

Assist in maintaining website content that is current, concise and consistent with marketing strategies and brand guidelines.

Skilled in the use of a DSLR camera and video cameras, such as Go-Pro.

Advanced skier or snowboarder

Demonstrates ability to execute tasks and projects independently, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Ability to foster relationships regardless of personality and maintain a high level of professionalism regardless of situation.

Passion for skiing, snowboarding and the outdoor lifestyle.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Proficient in Google Workspace and other computer functionality

Familiarity with photography/videography equipment preferred.

Website design or editing experience preferred.

Knowledge of the winter resort industry is a must, knowledge and familiarity with Mission Ridge preferred.

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
