Description

Anderson University is accepting candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for Fall 2024.

Anderson University is home to ABET accredited engineering programs including:  Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.  The university also has programs in Civil Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Humanitarian Engineering.

Primary duties for the position include teaching undergraduate engineering courses using current tools of the industry, connecting students with industry professionals, mentoring students, generating scholarship, service to the community, and participating in departmental and university committees.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  A Masters degree paired with a PE and sufficient experience will be considered.  Candidates in all areas of Mechanical Engineering will be considered.  Experience with electromechanical or mechatronic systems is strongly preferred, but not required. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate.

Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Candidates must meet University lifestyle expectations.
