Rainbow Hospice Care is currently accepting applications for a Director of Quality & Compliance. This is a full time salaried position.

Supervises: Medical Records, QAPI & Compliance Programs, Electronic Health Record

Essential Duties:

  • Serves as the Compliance Officer.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors compliant and effective quality and compliance programs and auditing activities.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors compliant and effective EMR system (Suncoast).
  • Facilitates quality and compliance meetings and participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Possesses working knowledge of Medicare Hospice Benefit, Hospice Billing Manual, Medicare Conditions of Participation, DHS 131, HIPAA rules, standards of practice, philosophy and specific criteria to establish eligibility for hospice admission to the appropriate levels of care.
  • Monitors NHPCO, NGS, CMS, NPHI and DHS list serves for regulatory updates, education opportunities and changes to keep abreast of new and changing regulations and standards of practice.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training of employees regarding compliance with regulation and standards, monitors individual IDT documentation competency through orientation period, offers and documents 1:1 training to new employees to promote documentation and discipline specific scope/standard of practice competence.
  • Able to respond and provide leadership for emergency situations that concern safety, security, hazardous material, emergency preparedness, life safety, medical equipment and utilities as addressed in protocols.
  • Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation, and must be able to respond to emergency patient situations and staffing concerns.
  • Works closely with other Leaders to assist during vacations, illness and as otherwise needed.
  • Works on-call hours, weekends and holidays as necessary.

  • Must be data-driven, detail-orientated, and be able to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Must have leadership qualities and be able to promote and demonstrate positive interpersonal relations.
  • Must be self-directed and able to handle stressful and emergency situations.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and present self in a professional manner at all times.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Clinical healthcare background with hospice experience preferred.
  • RN with Bachelors degree preferred. Will consider other healthcare degrees and/or adequate work experience.
  • Valid Wisconsin drivers license and current auto insurance required.
  • COVID vaccination series required.
