Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibility:

• Mechanical reports to mill equipment, pumps, etc.
• Ability to rebuild pumps and install bearings
• Ability to utilize welding and cutting equipment
• Ability to work independently. Ability to manage work loads down to maintenance team members, vendors etc.
• Ability to operate company equipment- front end loader, back hoe, and plow truck.
• Candidate will be required to carry a company phone and be responsible for call in as needed to install, maintain and repair mill equipment. (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Position is required to work all scheduled maintenance shutdowns including holidays.
• Successful candidate must provide own set of tools.
• (candidate may be subjected to an extended period of call in "training" until able to work on their own)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic electrical repairs
• Basic pneumatic repairs
• Basic preventive maintenance
• Basic building maintenance

LIST OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to troubleshoot converting machines and related equipment.
• Ability to run overhead electric cranes.
• Ability to measure, count and transcribe weights accurately.
• Able to drive a forklift and clamp truck
• Additional duties as assigned, including cleaning and sweeping of machinery and surrounding areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 90 pounds.
• Ability to stand 8 hours per day.
• Bend 45° from the waist.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle
• perform lifting up to sixty pounds.

Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
