The Field Safety Intern is responsible for closely collaborating with the VP of Safety and Quality to observe and document processes for the safe instillation of Mid-State’s precast building products. They are organized self-starters, eager to gain hands-on experience in field construction safety and safety program administration. This individual will be responsible for:
- Partnering with Project Management to take pictures of field instillation processes and draft standard work instructions (SWIs)
- Collaborating with the Safety team to edit, improve, and implement drafted SWIs
- Attending 3-day safety onboarding program and additional field safety training
- Observing and assisting in documentation of field audits
- Observing plant manufacturing processes and safety requirements as needed to support understanding of field installation processes
- Completing and providing two case studies for field instillation processes, to be determined at forefront of internship
