Intern

University interns who are seeking practical experience in their field of study are invited to complete their internship hours at the Boys & Girls Club! Responsibilities include providing mentorship and guidance, participating in youth-oriented programs under staff supervision, or assisting with special events.

To be considered for an internship, you must be currently enrolled at an area college or university, and the hours must be directly related to a college course and program of study.

All internships are unpaid.

Interns must be older than the youth they are working with.

All interns under the age of 16 will require guardian supervision.

All interns must get fingerprinted. This cost is covered by our program.

All interns over the age of 18 must also authorize a background check.

All interns must complete 2 to 4 hours of orientation training prior to interacting with youth, including training on recognizing abuse and neglect.
