Summary of Position

Senior project manager responsibilities include developing a project management protocol for the Studio. To create detailed project templates/interface points for our internal and external teams to use. To ensure resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects—often across multiple platforms
  • Aid in the selection of a PM platform and create a robust internal process that will be used by internal personnel and external clients
  • coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope
  • you will be the go-to person for ensuring that all of the multiple project timelines are being effectively communicated, and coordinated and remain on time, on budget, and within scope
  •  Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Create and maintain project dashboards for senior management to use to track the progress of all projects
  • Interview stakeholders to build project tools
  • Work independently creating the tools in a timely manner
  • Creating agendas for and running the weekly project meetings
  • May involve some travel
  •  All other assignments as directed by management.
  • This position has the ability to work remotely 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Great previous work experience or educational background. Preferably in project management of: creation, manufacturing, and marketing of consumer products
  • Must be comfortable working with “creatives” and other actively disorganized people
  • Proven working experience as a project manager in the same or similar (creative publishing) industry
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in project management and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal diplomatic and empathetic communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Extremely comfortable working with a diverse and globally-disperse team across many time zones
  • Comfortable working with diverse business cultures based inside and outside of the US
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Comfortable in an entirely MAC-based (OS-X) work environment with a high degree of online connectivity
  • No fear of technology and working across multiple platforms (systems we use regularly: Basecamp, Google-Suite, Office 365, Smartsheet, etc.)
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project management experience.
  • 5+ years project management experience.
  • Experience working with internal and external teams on multiple projects. 
  • Proven success delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
