Resident Technician - Deliver Exceptional Service On-Site!

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Resident Technician to join our Service Department. As a Resident Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site service and support to our valued customers, ensuring their equipment remains in optimal condition. Job Functions:

  • Support part and service sales for S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
  • Accept, process, and follow up on parts orders for S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, and robots.
  • Provide on-site service and support to customers, focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Deliver world-class customer service to all customers, exceeding their expectations.
  • Interface with customers daily, providing comprehensive daily reports and taking ownership of follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate business information between customers, Sales, Engineering, and other team members.
  • Submit all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
  • Actively contribute to developing and maintaining a sense of teamwork within the Service Department.
  • Perform routine inspections and equipment repairs on Westfalia-installed conveyors, SRMs, lifts, and robots.
  • Remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Ascend and descend fixed vertical ladders, up to 125' high, as needed (10% of the time).
  • Engage in stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in and around machinery for inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and active communication with others during the manual operation of the machines.
  • Visually assess machinery in dark environments.
  • Frequently move toolboxes weighing up to 70 lbs. Occasionally lift or position heavier objects with the use of rigging. Possess full mobility to safely rig equipment up to 1,000 lbs.
  • Adapt to work environment temperatures ranging from -40F to 110F.
  • Be fit for air travel and legally able to rent and drive a rental vehicle.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with electro/mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar business software/applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with customers and coworkers.
  • Strong team player committed to collaboration.
