JOB SUMMARY
Prepare equipment and work cell for manufacturing process in injection mold press room by coordination with Production Control, Production Manager, Toolroom and QA. Actively complete Mold/Press Set-Up.
Responsible for material handling by moving Raw Materials and Components within or near plant, yard, or work site for storage and use. Assist in basic Inventory Control. Assist Press Operator staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Actively Coordinate tasks for mold set-up on the production floor, mold setting standard, mold setting procedure, standard toolroom work order procedure, standard press startup, restart, stop procedure. Assure Set-Ups are completed all required documentation and logs.
Plastic Resin Raw Material assurance and preparation. Confirm proper material for production with Material handling. Analyze, confirm, record material moisture. Coordinate drying of material to proper moisture content with material handler when required.
Coordinate with the Production Control and Toolroom to assure production readiness of mold. Preventative maintenance is up to date. Mold configuration is correct per job. Assist maintenance requirements of mold.
Coordinate with production control to schedule mold set-up and mold removal according to production schedule. Coordinate with production control to schedule operator assignments and task according to production schedule.
Perform mold set-up. Install mold tool on to press and assure press set-up (hardware and software settings) confirm to Process Set-Up documents. Hardware includes mold tool placement, aligned, and clamped to press properly; all auxiliary equipment (such as dryers, auto-loaders, conveyors, thermalators, hot oilers, auxiliary controllers, EOA tooling, Pick and place robots, etc. properly connected.
Perform Production Cell Set-Up. Assure all materials and production equipment is ready for operator to use. Materials include inserts and other components to be molded into the product, packaging. Production equipment includes sorting and collection containers, gate cutters, at the press test/inspection equipment, etc.
Clean machines and equipment. Keep molding area neat and clean.
Do P.M. and light maintenance when required.
Maintain time and production records.
Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 5 to 10 years hands on processing adjustment and setup skills
- Advanced knowledge of injection molding process concepts, raw material, molding troubleshooting, mold construction and effect on plastics is required.
- Must have some knowledge and ability to learn how to operate cranes and other tool room equipment.
- Knowledge of the Quality Management System policies, goals and objectives after training. Assist with systems based on Lean principles and practices to meet or exceed the requirements of the established QMS and all other standards required to serve our target markets
