Performance Indicators
- Support CLA with final SMSVP program approval.
- Ensure that all CLA SMS Safety Reports are closed out within 30 days in more than 70% of total items and have proper notations for extensions on the remaining.
- Ensure that all ASAP Reports are addressed within 30 days in more than 70% of total items and have proper notations for extensions on the remaining.
- Support CLA Main Safety External Audits approval and findings addressment.
- Support Flight Operations Safety SMS Training Indicators.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, related to aviation.
- Master’s degree preferred, related to aviation.
Experience
- Aviation industry and flight operations knowledge, which includes Part 91, 135 or 121
- More than 8 years of related experience in the aviation and safety area.
Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of SMS concepts and the carrier's regulatory environment.
- Working knowledge and understanding of additional aviation safety programs, including the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) program, Internal Evaluation Program (IEP), and Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Working knowledge of auditing principles, standards, and practices.
- Strong project management skills and discipline to manage projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with root-cause analysis and process development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects and/or working groups.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate internal resources; create and maintain project documentation.
- Ability to plan and complete projects to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors, clients, and all stakeholders.
