Description

The Ponderosa Lodge (PL) Audio/Visual (A/V) Lead oversees all A/V, technical and lighting elements throughout PL and the recording studio and is responsible to model a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship, contributing to the campers’ experience in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.

General Qualifications:

The Ponderosa Lodge (PL) Audio/Visual (A/V) Lead is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (MHA) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the care and maintenance of all of the PL A/V equipment.
  • Perform all A/V needs as required to enhance all programs and activities.
  • Oversee the recording studio, working with campers to create an intentional and excellent experience.
  • Meet regularly with the Band Lead to ensure they meet their needs.
  • Work directly with the PL Forum, Activities and Program Coordinators, and the Band.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the PL Forum Coordinator.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Summer staff members in his/her area.

*Summer Staff, exempt.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • High school graduate, some college experience preferred.
  • CPR/ First Aid Certified.

Work Experience:

  • Prior experience working with junior high and high school students.
  • Experience in ministry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to articulate the gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Ability to demonstrate a personal, committed and thought-through faith in Christ.
  • Possess proven audio/visual, computer and theatrical lighting skills.
  • Must exhibit great interpersonal skills with people of all ages.
  • Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires seeing, hearing, talking, sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, hiking and lifting of 40 lbs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Commitment to spending time serving campers and helping to create a great experience for them.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
