What You'll Do

The VP of Sales will develop and lead all the US Asmodee sales channels, including Hobby, Mass Market, International/Export, Amazon/other E-commerce, and Toy & Gift. The role will be responsible for devising and implementing an ambitious sales strategy, with the goal of maximizing sales with existing clients and identifying and building sales with new business partners. The position will be accountable for reaching full market penetration across retailers in the United States. 


Essential Functions 

  • Coach, train and develop the sales team to by providing constructive feedback, setting individual development plans, and conducting performance reviews that foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, while exceeding sales goals and profit objectives. 
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans to achieve comprehensive market reach across existing and new channels, ensuring that our products are available whenever they can be sold. 
  • Identify key sales and growth opportunities with existing and potential customers focusing on growing product listings, increasing shelf space, and broadening categories. Keeping in mind that anywhere our products can be sold they should be sold. 
  • Identify and create productive promotional initiatives. 
  • Assist the teams in launching new products into the market. 
  • Work closely with marketing groups to deliver line strategies appropriate for various product channels. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with buyers. 
  • Represent the company at tradeshows. Act as the company’s ambassador at industry events to enhance brand presence, identify new business opportunities and gather market knowledge/trends.  
  • Gather, understand, and communicate competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders and decision makers. 
  • Oversee key account relationships as needed. 
  • All other tasks as directed by management. 

What Makes You Successful


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum ten (10) years sales experience, strongly preferred in tabletop game industry.  
  • Minimum of five (5) years senior management experience and specifically managing sales teams.  


Minimum Qualifications 

  • High level of industry experience in mass market consumer goods specifically with retailers such as Target, Walmart and Amazon.
  • High level of industry experience in hobby sales market consumer goods specifically with hobby sales. 
  • Proven track record as a top sales performer delivering a budget in excess of $100M 
  • Ability to motivate and drive a team of sales professionals towards achievement of established goals. 
  • Understand sales communication strategies that effectively build long-lasting and beneficial customer relationships. 
  • Motivated to aggressively increase profitability and close the sale with the determination to meet goals/objectives.  
  • Previous experience with working with Marketing to deliver a full range of retail marketing activities. 
  • Responsible for overall forecasting to meet budget targets; will also train and mentor the sales channel leads on forecasting to ensure accuracy and attainment at or above industry levels.
  • Ability to interpret sales reports and create a strategy for growth based on them.  
  • Willingness to research products/product lines independently to acquire product knowledge. 
  • Strong organizational skills with an attentional to detail. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other Asmodee teams and individuals in order to support the company’s long-term objectives. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven conflict resolution management.  
  • Must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time including both domestic and international travel.
