Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS) seeks qualified candidates for Summer Camp Program Coordinator to manage counselors and divisions of the Camp AOS program. Camp AOS provides a number of different program options for children 3 years old - 8th grade. Summer Camp Program Coordinators each lead a team of Camp Counselors in a single division to support a flexible program and create an environment favorable to learning and personal growth. They lead with a creative and energetic quality and encourage children to learn through activities and experiences.

Camp Planning: Monday-Friday hours will vary between 12:00-6:00 PM May 1-24. 2023

Staff Training: Tuesday-Friday 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM May 30 - June 2, 2023

Camp Program: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 4:15 PM June 5 - 23 & July 10 - 28, 2023
Responsibilities:

Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of the camp counselors and campers in order to meet the intended outcomes

Ensure campers are properly supervised at all times

Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for students and staff

Apply youth development principles in working with students through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement and empowerment of youth

Act as a role model to students and staff in attitude and behavior

Build relationships with students and families who utilize the summer camp program

Provide parents appropriate feedback and information as needed for their children

Provide constructive feedback to camp counselors to encourage their professional growth

Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance
