Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Supervised Apartment Programs This program, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, provides residential supervised housing services to individuals who have psychiatric disorders and are involved in the state mental health service system.

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8AM to 4:30PM

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Create and maintain a positive work environment with the focus on developing team integration, motivation and supporting staff whenever possible.
  • Supervise staff by utilizing appropriate principles of integrated care, management techniques, including day-to-day direction, scheduling, training, crisis management, risk assessment and evaluation. Supervision is ultimately related to clinical interventions, quality of care and persons served welfare.
  • Conduct and keep record of staff meetings, supervision and coordinate in-service training and case conferences as needed for staff development and to improve the quality of care.
  • Conduct screenings, coordinate intakes and admissions, communicate and collaborate with the referral source in order to ensure all needed documentation prior to admission.
  • Work in close collaboration with physical and behavioral health care providers to ensure appropriate and person-centered care for the persons served.
  • Maintain records and provide reports including daily census and service data in a timely manner.
  • Review management of cases, assignments, case problems, issues and methods of treatment and service providing.
  • Assist the Department Director in long range planning and quality improvement.
  • Provide on-call supervision and oversight.
  • Assume all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences and two (2) years experience in counseling, case management or rehabilitation services preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Co-occurring competencies and/or credentials are a plus.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of counseling, crisis intervention, and/or case management.
  • Understanding of and ability to provide integrated care for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information pertinent to the care of clients.
  • Knowledge of the physical, psychological, social, and economic effects of substance abuse, homelessness, and mental illness.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships. Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to project a professional image.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES

  • Incumbents may be required to secure professional certification and/or license.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license may be required.
