Qualifications

Essential responsibilities consist of but not all inclusive: HIM Specialist will work with patient data in the Suvida healthcare facility or network. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining patient health information records from the patients, including, but not limited to: diagnosis, symptoms, vital statistics, medications being taken, procedures scheduled or completed, tests results, insurance information and any other relevant information, and organizing and storing it.

  • Must have knowledge of HIPAA laws, always maintain privacy of patients' health information.

  • Consistently report for duty on time

  • Candidate must have great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortability working in a high-volume production environment.

  • Capability to meet productivity expectations and detail oriented.

  • Ability to problem solve and dependable.

  • Ability to own independent problem-solving tasks.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Higher education in health management (associate degree preferred)

  • Or a high school diploma or the equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
