We are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mobile Crisis Outreach team. This full-time position will work primarily daytime, weekday shifts and work throughout our six-county service region. Candidates must be qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner per MN DHS. Travel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required. 

 

 Essential Functions include:

  • Enable a recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills, when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness
  • Enable a recipient to regain and/or retain stability and functioning if the recipient is at risk of losing significant functionality or being admitted to a more restrictive service setting without these services
  • Instruct, assist, and support a recipient in areas such as medication education and monitoring; and basic social and living skills in mental illness symptom management, household management, employment-related, or transitioning to community living. This may include transporting recipients in order to effectively accomplish these tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Provide interim services when no other resources are immediately available to meet critical consumer need. The service is provided based on need, not program eligibility.
  • Connect recipients to mental health continuum of care and resources as needed for ongoing stability after ICTS services completion.

 

 Qualifications include:

  • Travel is a requirement of the position; valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle are required
  • Must meet Mental Health Practitioner status per the State of Minnesota
