Position Objective:

The Registration Assistant assists the MHA Registrars in handling of day-to-day registration detail and procedures and provides prompt, courteous, quality customer service to conference attendees in a manner consistent with Mount Hermon Association, Inc.'s ("MHA") mission, vision and values.

General Qualifications:

The Reservations and Event Services (RES) Registration Assistant is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming MHA's mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Provide prompt courteous service to conference attendees.
  • Assist in preparation for upcoming camps and conferences, including handling correspondence, recording payments, housing assignments, reservations, preparing informational packets, and filing.
  • Count and document receipts for payment from conference attendees.
  • Provide coverage at the RES Office windows, including check-in and check-out procedures, informational services for guests, and coordination with the various departments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • High school graduate.
  • College experience.

Work Experience:

  • Experience in administrative support skills.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a heart to serve.
  • Must be punctual and responsible.
  • Accurate typing ability with reasonable speed.
  • Must exhibit great interpersonal skills with people of all ages.
  • Must be observant and attentive.
  • Ability to articulate gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires seeing, hearing, talking, sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, and twisting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
  • May be assigned a secondary role.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provideproof of eligibility to work in the United States.
