Position Objective:
The Video and Digital Media Specialist is responsible for assisting the Mount Hermon marketing team with special projects in videography, photography, and social media. This ideal candidate for this position has experience in those three fields and is looking to expand their digital media experience through this dynamic position. This person will work closely with the year-round marketing staff to capture and create marketing content that tells the story of camp through impactful visual narratives and will also support (and stand-in for when needed) the photographer/videographer for all three Santa Cruz camps if/when needed in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The Video and Digital Media Specialist is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships, and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (MHA) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating, and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Work with Video and Media Manager and the Sr. Director of Communications and Marketing to film, edit and produce special videos for camps.
- Tag and catalog all video footage taken.
- Work on promotional videos for various Mount Hermon programs.
- Maintain inventory of video camera and editing equipment and supplies; report any damage or poorly working equipment to Marketing Digital Media Manager immediately.
- Assist with Mount Hermon’s social media presence.
- Support (and stand-in for when needed) other staff photographers and videographers with equipment, photo/video coverage, ideas, critique, transportation, troubleshooting and shot planning.
- Attend all summer staff and department meetings and events.
- Actively engage and help build the summer staff community with your attitude, words, and actions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
