Compensation: Salary

 

Summary

 

The primary purpose of this position is the engineering and pricing of steel structures available under the Poligon and CEAS+ brands.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Capable of performing all responsibilities listed in the Structural Designer job description
  2. Collaborating with the design community
  3. Define project scopes
  4. Research and communicate project-specific technical solutions
  5. Set realistic expectations and project timelines
  6. Communicating with local sales reps; answering questions and providing questions as required
  7. Reviewing work of less experienced engineers and providing constructive feedback
  8. Working with other departments to improve internal processes
  9. Perform other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience

 

  1. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  2. 2 years (minimum) experience in structural engineering
  3. E.I.T. designation


Travel

 

This position requires minimal to no travel

 

Computer Skills

 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

 

Other Requirements

 

  1. Familiarity with structural analysis software
  2. Demonstrated ability in MS Office, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Knowledge of engineering principles and product development techniques and processes
  4. Originality and judgement in the independent evaluation of new applications and products
  5. Familiarity with major building codes in the United States and their applications

Qualifications
