Description

Purpose of the Position: This position will work in the accounting department and perform a variety of duties such as maintain the general ledger, reviewing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations and play a critical role in the monthly close process
  • Own all tasked accounting activities related to various areas which may include, but are not limited to, cash accounts receivable
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Maintain GL account reconciliations for Employee Receivables and payroll liabilities
  • Assist in other areas of finance and accounting to include, but not limited to treasure, financial analysis, and accounts receivable reporting
  • Create various financial reports and analysis regularly
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting

  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient with payroll software and preferred experience with NetSuite
  • Strong problem solving and consensus-building skills
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically and identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
