Position: Bible Curriculum Development Specialist (Secondary Education)

Reports to: Director, Educational Curriculum

The Bible Curriculum Development Specialist works with the Educational Content team to develop AiG’s curricula. This person is responsible for developing and writing educational materials in multiple areas of Bible, history, and apologetics with a focus in secondary education (middle & high school). These may include such things as Christian school curriculum, program curriculum, homeschool curriculum, and online education. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. Responsibilities

• Collaborate within department in the day-to-day operations with the overall development of a SERVE culture

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.

• Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.

• Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset

• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments

• Design and implement instructional strategies for AiG’s growing Educational Content department

• Develop and write curricula for various age and grade levels with Bible and apologetics integration, with a focus in secondary education (middle & high school)

• Develop and write curricula for Christian school, homeschool, and online education

• Develop and write curricula for existing and future programs

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church

• Extensive knowledge of creation/evolution issues

• Thorough working knowledge of presuppositional apologetics, especially in relation to young-earth/biblical creation

• Excellent writing and editing skills

• Ability to independently write lessons aligned to a set of given guidelines

• Research skills

• Knowledge of current best practices in secondary education instruction

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign a plus

• Aptitude for computers and technology

• Ability to work under deadlines

• Ability to give and receive criticism with a graceful spirit

Education & Experience

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred, in a related area

• Experience in secondary education (middle & high school)

• Experience in curriculum development and writing beyond writing classroom-based lessons

• Experience in aligning educational content to selected standards

• Knowledgeable in the Bible and apologetics
