We are looking for a highly talented Controller for our White Plains, NY headquarters location. Reporting directly to our CFO, you will help guide and inform our financial decisions, protect our assets by enforcing our internal controls, and monitor and confirm our financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting and operational functions
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Managing the Budget process
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements for the role:
- Knowledge of all aspects of generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Solid Analytical and Technology skills
- Experience managing a team
- Seven plus years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Previous experience in Public Accounting is highly valued
