The primary teaching responsibilities of the part-time middle school chemistry teacher include delivery of the Harding Academy chemistry curriculum. The individual in this position may be required to lesson plan, review student work and complete other teaching duties as assigned during time(s) that extends beyond normal working hours. This outside-of-classroom work will be at the discretion and direction of Division Director, and will be considered as part of the normal workload for this position.  There should be no expectation that extra compensation will be applied in this instance(s). Load equates to 1.5 sections. One (1) section in fall semester; Two (2) sections in spring semester.

This is a part-time position paid through a bi-weekly stipend, offering no other benefits, express or implied, beginning no earlier than August 10, 2021, and meeting based on the official School Calendar while school is in session and meeting in person.

Qualifications/Experience

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field of science

 

Preference:       Master’s and/or at least two years’ experience in an instructional role; current or transferable teacher certification in the State of Tennessee
