Clay Lacy Aviation is looking for a Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background and provide support to the Payroll department. If you are dedicated, proactive, and detail-oriented, we would be delighted to get to know you better.

Position Summary

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the Payroll department. This person will be responsible for updating personnel files, completing employment verifications, and assisting the HR department in any way needed in a confidential manner.  This role will work under the direct supervision of the Payroll Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with department-related data entry, scanning, and filing.
• Enter and maintain, information in the payroll system
• Monitor the timekeeping system and payroll time clocks to ensure optimal performance is maintained
• Assist in the distribution of the W2s
• Occasionally, serve as a backup to respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner
• Updating employee timecard punches in the payroll system.
• Receiving, completing, and filing employment verifications in a timely manner.
• Entering new hire information into the HRIS/Payroll system.
• Distribution of paychecks.
• Assisting with audits and projects for the department as needed.
• Submit timecards to agencies
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Education

College degree preferred but not required; Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and strong critical thinking skills.
• Entry to mid-level Excel skills as well as other Microsoft products.
• Prefer HRIS experience in systems such as Paycom or ADP
• Proven ability to work both independently on projects and as part of a larger team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The schedule is 20-25 hours a week with a flexible schedule (based on Monday- Friday workweek)
• Is detail-oriented.
• Possesses a high level of confidentiality.
