Job Summary

The Lead Population Health Analyst will work with Clinical and Operation departments within a regional market to optimize population health operations at assigned medical centers. Working directly with mid-level and senior leadership to develop broad scope expertise in healthcare operations, strategy, project management, and data analysis. The Lead Population Health Analyst will collaborate in a fast-paced team environment on high-priority, system-wide initiatives to impact the social, economic, and behavioral determinants of health. The successful candidate will have outstanding critical thinking, communication, and research skills, as well as experience in program design, implementation, and/or evaluation in an academic or work setting.

Essential responsibilities consist of but not all inclusive:

  • Provide analytical insights to support population health management operations in close collaboration with clinical, operations and population health teams.

  • Develop analytical reports and dashboards that measure clinical quality, provider performance and healthcare utilization.

  • Develop and disseminate analytical expertise in optimization of assigned population health programs.

  • Analyze claims data, EHR and other related databases using advanced analytical tools and techniques.

  • Relevant experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies and knowledge to succeed in the duties of the position, including:

  • Excellent analytic and communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and persuasively, to tailor communication for various audiences, and to design high-quality reports and presentations;

  • Academic or work experience collaborating in a team setting on program design, implementation, and/or evaluation, with an emphasis on translating research into action;

  • Diligence, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to high-quality work.

  • Experience in healthcare delivery settings and/or with insurance or managed care

  • Familiarity with population health, public health, or clinical quality research or metrics.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, finance, economics or related field, Masters Preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in healthcare

  • 2+ years experience in Value-based care operations

  • Strong experience in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Preferred experience in SQL

  • Preferred experience in developing with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

  • Preferred experience in developing with computation programming (Python, R, Julia)

  • Bi-lingual-Spanish preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. Hand eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and other office equipment; must be able to operate a motor vehicle. When representing Suvida Healthcare at external events, the Lead Population Health Analyst is also required to stand for prolonged periods of time, kneel, crouch, bend and lift, and able to move up to 30 pounds.
