This position is accountable for the delivery and merchandising of all products through effective management and development of all members of the Delivery Team.

The Delivery Manager's primary duties include:

  • Implementation of Company programs and policies that will result in the effective, timely delivery of all routes
  • Assign the appropriate manpower to each route/truck and will conduct a daily review of Pre-Trip Inspections for each truck along with a personal inspection of vehicles and will review tools and equipment assigned to each truck
  • Periodically review each route to ensure compliance with DOT regulations regarding driver time of service and periodically restructures routes to remain in compliance
  • Responsible for CDL training and DOT regulatory compliance
  • Review the performance of each Delivery Team Member to ensure effective implementation of the approved Delivery Structure and Processes to ensure the standards established are being met
  • Hold regular meetings, both for individuals and groups, to conduct training, review safety performance, and provide information on new programs.
  • Assist the delivery team by participating in "work with" and "ride with" days to provide coaching and training opportunities in the field and to ensure all standards of the Delivery Structure and Processes are being met
  • Handles administrative duties for the Delivery Team, including attendance records, and provides information to the payroll department regarding matters affecting the Delivery team’s pay.

This position requires a valid CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, proof of personal automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record.
