SUMMARY: A Production Artist will use a variety of tools to create attractive and informative printed and promotional pieces and products within brands and templates that are already produced.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare press-ready files based on supplied specifications for multiple types of printing.

  • Package branding and files for release to printers or media partners.

  • Adapt signage templates to create new wayfinding, event, and promotional signs at the public attractions.

  • Update promotions and advertisements using previously designed pieces and templates.

  • Adjust package templates to create packaging for new products.

  • Update products and publications with updated branding and information.

  • Use existing branding guidelines to create materials for various projects.

  • Maintain consistent branding & design presence across all promotional channels.

  • Archive art and graphics for future projects

  • And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office.

  • Familiarity with workflow and collaboration solutions like Basecamp, Google Docs, Dropbox, and similar.

  • Skills in layout, design, eye flow, information architecture, readability, typography, and color theory.

  • Good understanding of principles of branding and its relationship to design and cohesive marketing.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Efficient - tackling problems in a timely manner

  • Finisher - loves seeing a project through to completion

  • Independently resourceful - researching solutions with minimal supervision

  • Organized - able to keep track of multiple concurrent projects

  • Creative - thinking outside the box for optimal solutions to difficult problems

  • A fast learner - adapting to new methodologies with minimal coaching

  • Humble - giving and receiving criticism with a graceful spirit

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in graphic design or similar or equivalent experience.

  • Recent two years of experience doing art production professionally.

  • Portfolio demonstrating technical knowledge, branding cohesiveness, and understanding of visual representation of content.
