Full Time

This position is responsible for processing and reconciling receipts along with a variety of other finance department duties that support accounts receivable, customer service, and financial reporting.

 

Essential Functions 

  • Supervise entry of accounts receivable checks from daily bank deposits into CRM software (Andar) and reconcile with bank accounts weekly
  • Process electronic and cash accounts receivable payments and reconcile between CRM and accounting software
  • Responsible for Customer Service calls to respond to internal and external inquires via phone and / or email from all constituencies (agencies, donors, ECM managers and internal staff)
  • Build all payroll detail files through Microsoft SQL
  • Process credit card payments – phone pledges, manual credit card installments, etc.
  • Process Stock Gifts and Tax Receipts – gift acknowledgement – weekly
  • Retrieve payment backup from third party payment processors via websites, emails and letters and import into Andar
     

Additional Functions 

  • Import payment files into Andar system and work with donor relations team to reconcile all errors
  • Enter end of month entries
  • Process Billing Statements every month following the close of Andar
  • Process adjustments in Andar by obtaining all screenshots and data needed
  • Process end of year tax receipts or as needed by donor
     

People Management Responsibilities 

  • Provide training and support to other accounts receivable team members
     

Financial/Budgetary Responsibilities 

  • Run Andar’s trial balance report and MIP’s daily transaction report to reconcile all receipt entries with daily bank statements by the 12th of each month
  • Assist with investment entries
  • Assist with annual audit and 990 tax return

Education and Experience 

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Two years of related experience
     

Annual Salary

  • Pay Grade 103
  • Salary Range - $36,900 - $43,400
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Required: Strong administrative, interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication abilities, Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Preferred: Capable of managing multiple tasks and highly organized

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
