Position Overview:
The Intern, Research and Evaluation, will assist the Sperling Center for Research and Innovation (SCRI) in efforts relating to research and evaluation. This internship will build knowledge in the area of out-of-school time and will provide skill-building opportunities in research, writing, and analysis. The intern will aid the Research and Evaluation team in furthering SCRI’s mission of knowledge dissemination, capacity building, and turning evidence into action.
Position Accountabilities
- Conduct literature reviews for current SCRI initiatives
- Research and write case studies for current or past SCRI initiatives
- Develop tools, resources, and/or guides that will be shared with the out-of-school time field
Position Requirements:
- Enrolled in a four-year program at an accredited college or university or enrolled in a two-year program at an accredited college or university with intent to complete a bachelor’s degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; candidates with skills related to data visualization, including experience with data visualization software, preferred
- Detail-oriented with an eye for analysis
- Passionate about K-12 education, out-of-school time, qualitative research, and/or program evaluation

Program Overview
The BellXcel Summer Internship Program is designed to give qualified postsecondary students an opportunity to gain experience working for a national youth development expert in the ed-tech sector, while building skills and connections that will serve them in their postgraduate endeavors. The program includes professional development sessions and emphasizes the importance of exploring career pathways while creating impact in the communities BellXcel serves.
The 2023 BellXcel Summer Internship Program will run from 6/12/2023 - 8/11/2023. Interns are expected to work eight weeks, with a week of floating holiday included in the program schedule. The first week of the program will include an onsite at BellXcel headquarters in Westwood, MA. BellXcel will cover all travel costs associated with the onsite.
This is a paid program, open to students in all fifty states. Additionally, interns with a permanent address in New England who complete all program requirements are eligible to receive an added $2,500 scholarship paid directly to their educational institution at the conclusion of the program.
