Position Summary
The role of the Licensed Practical Nurse reports to the RN - Nurse Manager in partnership with the Director of Clinical Services and Regulatory Affairs. This position is responsible for providing direct patient within the scope of practice, as part of the care team, under the direction of a registered nurse as it relates to the Dialysis patient.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Partner with members of the patients care plan to ensure care needs are met
- Provide educational resources to patients regarding dialysis treatment
- Establish effective working relationships with coworkers, patients, and all other stakeholders
- Remain knowledgeable regarding treatment of dialysis patients
- Monitor patient during treatment and report abnormal findings to registered nurse
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure and Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR, required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical nursing setting, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
