Berkeley, CA-based Terabase Energy is a venture backed startup founded in 2019 by solar industry leaders as a result of a technology spin out from SunPower Corporation. Our mission is to reduce the cost and accelerate the deployment of utility-scale solar through the digitalization of the solar power plant.


To meet this goal our strategy is twofold. Terabase is developing software and operational automation technologies aimed at streamlining the development, construction, and operational processes of solar projects. We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world.


 We are also building a global and diverse team that will deploy on the forefront of technology and partnership to help revolutionize the future of the solar industry. We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world. The Opportunity:

Terabase is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager – Operational Technologies to join our mission driven team who will identify, manage, and build our business opportunity pipeline. Reporting to the VP of Operational Technology, the Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the sales of all Operational technologies in new and existing markets across the US.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and minimum 6-10 years’ experience selling equipment and/or services in the energy industry
  • Proven experience for complex B2B sales with impactful results and working with EPC teams
  • Experience selling complex value propositions for SCADA products and services to developers/IPPs, system integrators and/or OEMs
  • Customer focused mentality with a consultive approach
  • Ability to adapt and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to thrive with high autonomy while levering opportunities for teamwork and added resources to close business
  • Results orientated, responsible, professional, driven, focused, and takes initiative
  • Travel (50%) primarily within the US
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional employee groups
  • Understanding of finance/business concepts (NPV, ROI, IRR, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
