About the role:
The Tax Associate is an entry-level position in our Tax and Consulting department focused on tax preparation and assisting our consulting and specialized financial planning teams. This broad learning experience gives you exposure to tax preparation, financial planning, and business consulting services (accounting, payroll, and other business services consulting).
As a Tax Associate, you can expect to work Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. During tax season the average hours increase to 55-65 hours/week.
The Tax Associate can expect to focus in the following areas:
- Complete front-line preparation of tax returns
- Manage client needs and requests; attend client meetings, as needed.
- Learns various software used for tax, paperless documents storage and workflow
- Gather research on complex tax issues
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, journal entries, etc.
- Prepares and delivers various financial planning analyses
