Job Summary
The Financial Planner, known as the Private Client Group (PCG) Planner at Savant, provides financial planning services to high-net-worth clients and is responsible for performing a variety of tasks on behalf of the Private Client Group. The PCG Planner may be dedicated to a select group of clients that have complex planning needs. PCG planners are responsible for creating and presenting a wide variety of planning related tasks through coordination of the client discovery process and ongoing planning relationship of the lead advisor, co-advisor, PCG Advisor, and client to provide an integrated wealth management experience.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist our advisors with the profitable delivery of our service models as defined in Savant Service and Segmentation Guidelines and according to the The Savant Way
  • Ensure client financial needs are addressed as follows:
    • Participate in the management of client contact and communications
    • Participate in planning related meetings
    • Perform duties based on the lead advisor, co-advisor, PCG Advisors interaction with the client
    • Collaborate with the advisors in making recommendations
    • Assist with the preparation of clients income tax returns
    • Provide proactive planning/tax articles and news that pertains to clients specific situation
  • Meet with clients/potential clients, to obtain information necessary to develop and complete a financial plan or other various financial analyses
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize client data and review client financial statements, tax returns, estate planning documents and all other information necessary to develop a financial plan or other various analyses
  • Prepare and deliver various financial planning analyses (i.e., tax analyses, social security analyses, insurance analyses, stock option analyses, Roth conversion analyses, pension analyses, etc.)
  • Develop and execute Retirement Planning Workshops using Money Guide Pro (or other software) in an interactive format to clients
  • Develop financial plans and suggest alternative options and recommendations for review with advisors
  • Prepare updated financial plans and analyses as requested
  • Utilize various financial analysis programs, and review output looking for completeness, accuracy and anticipated results sought by advisors
  • Conduct special and routine planning research projects, as requested by supervisors
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others

Qualifications
The PCG Planner position typically requires the following qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university, preferably with a CFP program
  • 3-5 years experience in comprehensive financial planning services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage plans and manage client relationships
  • Must be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of personal tax return preparation preferred
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as financial planning software
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience
  • Strong analytical and planning capabilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Client first attitude
  • A team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
