MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates and sets up jobs on specialty machines, including router and single-cycle embosser. Also, the Specialty Machine Operator will perform set-ups, adjustments, and installations of vacuum formers, trim presses, rivet machines, etc. as needed. Plans, lays out, and constructs special fixtures for the Educational Aids Department as needed. Insures quality and conformance with specifications. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS, AND WORK AIDS:
Proficiency with trim presses, vacuum formers, rivet machines, and other machinery and tools that Educational Aids Production Workers use. In addition, the Specialty Machine Operator will use a band saw, trim saw, drill press, sander, computerized router, inverted router, shearing machine, miscellaneous hand tools, Windows based PC, etc. Standing, grasping, lifting up to 70 lbs. or more occasionally, good vision, grasping.
