JOB SUMMARY:  This position will be responsible for reviewing all loan documentation to ensure the bank’s compliance with regulations of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and serving as support to all Loan Risk Department functions.



  • Review all new loans to identify loans applicable to HMDA.
  • Review all loans to entities to confirm compliant Beneficial Ownership Documentation.
  • Input Beneficial Ownership percentages and DL info to core system.
  • Review documentation of HMDA loans to insure correct information has been provided.
  • Input and maintain accuracy of Loan Application Register (LAR) of all HMDA loans for regulatory reporting.
  • Provide HMDA training and guidance for all lending personnel as needed.
  • Provide Credit Denial/Adverse Action Training for new FSRs.
  • Review Adverse Action Notices and Withdrawals for adherence to requirements and maintain reports of activity.
  • Ensure compliance related to loans applicable to HMDA, Adverse Actions Notices and Withdrawals, and provide training for staff.  Work with Supervisor and Compliance Officer to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Check in Loan Files when received from Loan Administration.
  • Assign all internet loan applications to loan officer and maintain report of activity.
  • Assist all Loan Risk Department personnel in other duties to include appraisals, flood monitoring, NMLS registry, and loan file compliance check.
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Follow directions of the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.


  • Capacity to sustain attention to detail is essential.
  • High School Education and 1 year banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous banking experience in areas of lending or equivalent of education and knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to become proficient using loan software.
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows applications and other MS Office applications, 10 key, and keyboard.
  • Clerical, administrative and customers service skills required.

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
