Position Summary
The Donor Relations Internship with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is designed to provide an overview of the skills and responsibilities required to successfully process gifts and donations from donors and sponsors for Development.
The Donor Relations Intern will contribute to the advancement of Crystal Bridges’ strategy for donor stewardship and cultivation efforts while gaining practical experience and skills in the areas of donor, member and corporate research, communication and management, The Donor Relations Intern will also receive an overview of the museum’s greater fundraising initiatives, including but not limited to membership, donor relations, and corporate sponsorships. The opportunity to customize specific projects is available based on the intern’s unique interests, skills, and career goals.
Areas of Support
The Donor Relations Intern will actively participate and perform duties in the following functional areas:
- Donor and Member Communications
- Draft, track and manage Donor correspondences.
- Create Supplementary documents as needed (i.e. Biographies, maps, surveys etc.) for special events, VIP visits and travel programs.
- Prepare itineraries for high-level guest of the museum
- Help prepare reports, documents, letters, and other correspondence related to donor stewardship and cultivation.
- Event and Program Administration Support
- Assist in planning and execution of member experiences – virtual, in person, or hybrid of both.
- Assisting with Director’s receptions and special events, when available
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist to schedule and maintain development and membership team’s calendars.
- Assist in conducting prospect research.
- Other Development tasks as assigned.
- Participate in special projects, administrative needs and donor or member events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
