What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a AWS Data Architect to join our Technology team. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, the AWS Data Architect is responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of complex data/analytics solutions with AWS cloud. The Data Architect is a key person for architectural ownership decisions that will work closely with an agile team consisting of Software Development, Quality Assurance, Database, and Project Management roles to develop and implement various projects related to the company’s mission critical business applications.


This is a remote position open to residents of the United States.




  • Provide high level estimate and technical feasibility of Data/Analytics solutions
  • Define, review and approve technical solution / architecture
  • Identify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities
  • Perform code reviews and approve code merges
  • Support Software Delivery Manager in timely delivery of projects
  • Troubleshoot post release issues and advice on resolution approach
  • Work in cross-functional, agile teams; being a voice for the engineering team as a whole in influencing larger development strategies
  • Deliver high-quality code that aligns to business objectives
  • Bring a focus on micro-services and component-based architecture, influencing mature practices that promote scale
  • Drive standards on code quality, reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Align and influence within the larger organization on new tech adoption, best practices, standards, and approach that will help bring efficiencies and scalability
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop creative ideas and new initiatives from cradle to grave
  • Evaluate new technologies, build prototypes, and learn through risk-averse strategies in order to achieve continuous improvements
  • Work within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment using a scaled agile workflow




  • 6+ years of proven engineering experience in software development and architecture
  • 3+ years of proven experience in Data/Analytics architecture using AWS cloud
  • Strong knowledge in AWS Datalake, AWS Glue, AWS  Quicksight, AWS Sagemaker, SQL (SQL Server/Postgres), NoSQL (Redis, ElasticSearch)
  • Experience with CI/CD is required
  • Experience with Git is required
  • Experience with Agile methodologies for SDLC
  • Solid programming discipline: unit testing, fault tolerance, data structures, complexity analysis, object-oriented principles, design patterns, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern software architectures such as microservice design, OAuth flows, and event driven architectures
  • Good understanding of web application & windows services architecture and design
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
  • Working Knowledge of serverless deployments and building deployment pipelines
